Thunderbrute-Sisters of Elune

Doing daily heroics through the random setting can be a mixed bag. But sometimes, you meet a real tank. A warrior's tank. Such is THUNDERBRUTE!

With pretty much blue level 200 equipment and only 30K life, a Tauren warrior would be a liability anywhere else. Quick deaths and low hit points can mean wipe after wipe.

But Thunderbrute manages to maintain control of all the mobs in the game. Two instances where I played with him were the Utgarde Pinnacle and Violet Hold.

We wiped 2x in the UP trying to do the Hulk achievement, but that was more because of the DPS.

So, Hail to Thunderbrute! I can't wait for this tank to start raiding. Maybe someday, we'll have cross-realm raiding.

Oh, and I should mention Titenlord, Shondr and Lucius. They were exceptional dps.

Happy New Year everyone! Let 2010 be a good one for everyone.

It's not the gear... It's theplayer

Did an instance with Malevolence of Bladefist. He is a paladin tank with 28K life. In the Halls of STone, he kicked some major butt. Got good control and never let things get too crazy.

Hail Malevolence of Bladefist. Your exploit is amazing!

Forge of Souls... Hail Adventurers!

This is to bring glory to a glorious group:

Maulmogg-Lightbringer Tank
Anguzbeef-Uther: 5535 dps
Trindal-Lightbringer: 4025 dps
Perkyhunter-Libhtbringer: 3688

A wonderful run with a successful downing. 2 deaths, but not bad. It happens when aggro is high and draws away from tank.

As always, Hiwas was the healer.

Tanking

Hello visitor. This is my quick and easy guide for tanking.

First off, visit: http://warriortanking.com/theory/wotlk-cc-and-mobility/

That is a great article on tanking.

2. Layout of keyboards is an excellent way to improve tanking. If using a keyboard, make sure that your layout is on the 1-2-3-4-5 sequence. What that means is that your charge is set up to 1. 2 is thunderclap. 3 is shockwave. 4 is devastate or sunder armor, etc, etc.

You can also use 6-7-8-9-0 as a nother sequence with which to attack. You usually need intervene, shield bash for the pesky casters. Demoralizing shout should also be in any beginning rotation to lower the attack power of others.

In another article,

http://wow-tips.blogspot.com/2007/05/warrior-tanking-guide.html

there was a suggestion for the following sequence: Charge, Demoralizing Shout, Whirlwind, Protection stance. Takes 5 seconds, but tons of threat.

Good tanking everyone!
